ABOUT THE COMPETITION

The Indian Art Olympiad (IAO) is organized to encourage students to explore and appreciate traditional Indian folk art.
This edition of the Olympiad focuses on the beautiful and vibrant Madhubani Art style, known for its intricate patterns, cultural symbols, and colorful designs.

 

COMPETITION GROUPS

Group 1: Standard 6th to 8th
Group 2: Standard 9th to 12th

COMPETITION GUIDELINES

  • Participants will be required to create an artwork in the Madhubani Art style.
  • Drawing sheet will be provided by MOF to all participants.
  • Students may use any colouring medium such as:
    Crayons • Colour Pencils • Sketch Pens • Poster Colours • Water Colours
  • Participants are encouraged to include traditional Madhubani motifs, such as:
    Nature • Animals • Birds • Cultural Symbols • Decorative Patterns
  • The following details must be written on the back side of the artwork:
  • Student Name, Class / Standard, School Name

JUDGING CRITERIA

Entries will be evaluated based on:

  • Creativity & Originality
  • Understanding of Madhubani Art Style
  • Colour Combination
  • Overall Presentation

AWARDS & RECOGNITION

In IAO Medals will be awarded group-wise based on performance.

All participants will receive a Participation Certificate.
